COURSE UPDATE

 

Members please be aware that there were a considerable number of trees uprooted/partially uprooted and many trees have large limbs snapped off as a result of the storm on the 2nd Jan..

Clean up is in progress.

Greens staff have priority during this clean up operation and your co operation will be essential for your and their safety.

 

The rules of golf apply if a ball comes to rest near a ranch/fallen tree.

Unsecured branches - If a ball comes to rest near a small or large fallen branch, the branch may be removed providing the ball does not move or play it as it lies or take relief as an unplayable lie i.e. lift and drop under penalty of 1 stroke - player decides if ball is unplayable - no free drop.

Fallen trees

If the tree is still attached to the ground but lying down normal rules of golf apply - play it as it lies or take relief under penalty of 1 stroke.

01/11/2011: Louise Kenney - 2011 SLGA Merit Winner

2011 Ladies Order of Merit Winner Louise Kenney

Louise Kenney has had a terrific season. In addition to winning the Scottish Ladies Championship at Machrihanish in May, she has also won the East of Scotland and Fife County Championships and finished third at the Helen Holm Scottish Open Strokeplay Championship at Troon. This year also saw her make her Great Britain and Ireland debut in the Vagliano Trophy match against the Continent of Europe in Wales in June.

Louise won the Scottish Ladies Golfing Association Order of Merit title this year amassing 2,375 points to finish comfortably ahead of all rivals; a title she received for the first time in 2009.

Now she has set her sights set on next year's Curtis Cup at Nairn. Well done from all the members at the Club and we wish you good fortune for next year.

Congratulations to Murray and Andy Wilson for achieving direct hits straight into the hole at the 12th in the Charity Medal competition on Saturday 18th June
