Dress Code – Members and Guests

Clubhouse Dress Standards

Pitreavie golf club operates a minimum dress standard policy.

In general, dress in the clubhouse lounge/restaurant/spike bar must be clean, presentable, smart and inoffensive.

Specifically the following are considered unsuitable :-

  • Footwear worn on the course shall not be worn in the clubhouse (except in the spike bar)
  • Vest tops
  • Sleeveless tops (except ladies)
  • Clothing bearing other sports’ team names or logos
  • Unauthorised working overalls, or soiled/damaged workwear
  • Waterproof trousers
  • All forms of headgear. Exceptions are :- at a fancy dress function, an otherwise appropriate gathering, or on religious or health grounds.

The bar manager and staff have been delegated to ensure that the standards are complied with.

Any complaints or disputes regarding the above or other dress standards deemed unsuitable by the bar manager or staff should be addressed to the club secretary and NOT to the bar manager or staff.

Course Dress Standards

This notice is to advise/remind all those playing on Pitreavie golf course that we have a minimum dress standard.

All golfers are expected to wear :-

  • Clothing that is clean, presentable, smart and inoffensive
  • Collared or polo/roll neck shirts
  • Trousers or tailored shorts
  • Golf shoes – exceptionally juniors may wear trainers

The following are unsuitable and not permitted when playing at Pitreavie :-

  • Blue denim jeans
  • Tracksuits, shell suits or ski-wear
  • Clothing bearing other sports’ team names or logos
  • Other sports shorts or beachwear
  • Sleeveless tops (except ladies)
  • Collarless shirts (except those specifically designed for golfers)
  • Working overalls, or soiled/damaged workwear

The club professional and assistants have been delegated to ensure that the standards are complied with.

Any complaints or disputes regarding the above or other dress standards deemed unsuitable by the club professional or assistants should be addressed to the club secretary – NOT to the professional or assistants.
