DRESS CODE

Here at Pitreavie Golf Club we expect players and guests to wear clean, presentable, smart, and
inoffensive clothing. Golf shoes must be worn on the course.
Clothing that is not deemed appropriate is as follows:
• Sports/football/swimming shorts
• Clothing bearing other sports’ team names or logos
• Blue denim jeans
• Tracksuits/shellsuits
• Sleeveless shirts (except ladies)
• Patterned/logo’d collarless t-shirts that are not golf specific apparel
• Vest tops
• Working overalls
• Soiled clothing
With the exception of wet weather clothes, golf shoes, and caps/hats (headwear is permitted at a
fancy-dress function, an otherwise appropriate gathering, or on religious or health grounds), what is
acceptable on the course is acceptable in the clubhouse. In addition to this, blue denim and non-golf
specific collarless t-shirts are permitted in clubhouse.
For juniors under the age of 18 years old there is no specific dress code, nor is there a requirement to
wear golf shoes (can wear trainers), but please make sure footwear is clean before entering the
lounge.
The club professional and assistants have been delegated to ensure that the standards are complied
with.
Any complaints or disputes regarding the above or other dress standards deemed unsuitable by the
club professional or assistants should be addressed to the club secretary – NOT to the professional or
assistants.
This notice is in compliance with the standards agreed at the council meeting of 14th September 2020
